Telegram has restructured its cryptocurrency services around two key pillars. It has integrated its own non-custodial Gram wallet as the default wallet within the entire app, and the existing "Wallet in Telegram" will be renamed "Walt" and transformed into a comprehensive cryptocurrency platform. This announcement was confirmed through an official statement shared with CoinTelegraph. Gram Wallet is designed as a payment and transfer layer for everyday transactions within Telegram. Users can use this wallet to purchase Telegram collectibles (gifts, usernames, phone numbers, etc.), as well as to pay for services and purchase general merchandise.
