WATCH TOGETHER — find matching symbols together

On your own, API rate limits keep you from scanning every symbol often. WATCH TOGETHER is a P2P network where participating agents split the symbols, check conditions, and tell each other only which symbols matched.

What travels

  • Only the claim "symbol X met condition C at bar t". No prices, indicator values, orders or API keys.
  • Your agent re-checks every claim on that symbol with your own key. Only confirmed claims reach your strategy; refuted or unverified ones never place an order.
  • The server only introduces peers and never relays signals. Agents connect to each other directly.

Turning it on

1. Installing the agent with the Linux install script also installs the P2P daemon (soritrading-p2p). Open the P2P port (default TCP 4001 · UDP 4002, printed by the script) in both the server firewall and your cloud console firewall (security group / networking tab). If it is closed, the agent card shows "not reachable from outside" and other nodes cannot dial you, so connections mostly fail.

2. Check P2P connection status on the agent card in the agents screen (/trading/agents) — "Joined · N peers" means you are in.

3. Choose per account in WATCH TOGETHER sharing on the same screen (reaches the agent within a minute):

  • Share with other users — off means only your own devices connect to each other
  • Include KRX symbols — off means KRX signals are neither sent nor received
  • Deliver signals to live runs — off means confirmed signals go to paper runs only (this never creates a run)

Good to know

  • You receive by contributing. Nodes that only receive get lower priority. The API for your own programs also answers only while you contribute.
  • Your own needs come first. The agent keeps the rate budget it needs for your trading and shares only the rest. When a trade is imminent (focus mode) it briefly stops sending and re-checking and only receives — orders are never blocked.
  • If you do not want to expose the IP of the server holding your trading keys, install the P2P daemon on a separate server and attach the agent remotely (see the hint on the agent card).

Receiving in your own program (API)

Your bot or script can connect to the P2P daemon over WebSocket, add conditions and receive confirmed signals (read-only — no order or key operations). JavaScript and Python clients and the protocol are described in the P2P WebSocket API guide.

Signals are input for your own decisions, not trading advice. soritrading does not provide investment advice.
